⭐ Preferred Attributes	Strong program implementation and management skills including strategic planning and work plan development with a strong focus on maintaining quality across project milestones. Strong orientation for long term vision achievement along with annual and quarterly milestone achievement. Confident communicator, with the ability to dialogue on complex issues with different stakeholders. Efficient at multitasking with field orientation. Skilled at interacting and developing relationships with a wide range of stakeholders. Willing to travel and maintain a very flexible working pattern. Sound knowledge about budget and finance.
📝 Key Responsibilities	Provide programmatic and institutional leadership to the present livelihood enhancement programme in respective areas. Supporting multi-thematic team in the areas of natural resources, agriculture, livestock, enterprises, skill development, etc. along with support departments like M & E, reporting. Liaise with donors and government officers and interact with field staff and community members. Budget management and new resource mobilization. Actively engage in developing systems and indicators from existing areas of work. Capacity building of the team and prepare older team members towards new challenges and new geographical areas. Integration of all programmes and projects of AKRSP to achieve maximum impact at household level. Ensuring timely submission of all reports to donors, government and AKRSP head office.

Envisioned by His Highness the Aga Khan to uplift the lives of marginalized communities in remote locations, AKRSP(I) works as a catalyst for rural poverty reduction through community empowerment, collectivization, and sustainable management of the environment.

🌍 Geographic Reach & Impact:

Operating States: Active across 4 states in India: Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, and Maharashtra.
Scale of Impact: Reaches over 3,255 villages, impacting more than 3.5 million lives and working with over 700,000 households.
Target Group: Over 80% of impacted households belong to marginalized sectors (tribals, dalits, minorities), and over 60% of beneficiaries are women.

🌱 Key Areas of Intervention:

Agriculture and Climate Resilience: Focuses on income enhancement, natural farming practices, and soil/water conservation. It has provided assured irrigation across 75,000+ hectares of land.
Renewable Energy: Promotes alternative energy coverage (solar lamps, decentralized systems) and solar-powered irrigation schemes.
Work and Enterprise: Includes youth skill development initiatives like “Yuva Junction” for vocational training and gainful employment, alongside individual micro-enterprises.
Drinking Water and Sanitation: Implements roof rainwater harvesting, clean drinking water supply schemes, and sanitation units to build hygiene-conscious, ODF-free communities.
Education & Governance: Supports early childhood development, learning enrichment programs, and strengthens local rural governance bodies (Panchayats, Gram Sabhas).

AKRSP(I) relies on long-lasting collaborations with over 50 national and international donor partners, knowledge institutions, civil society setups, and state/national government agencies. It values field-driven professional development, engaging over 400 specialized development professionals to support communities toward financial self-reliance.
